StudentAid Newfoundland and Labrador
Newfoundland and Labrador Student Financial Assistance can be accessed through StudentAid. Whether planning to attend a college, university, university-college, public institute or private training school, StudentAid helps eligible Newfoundland and Labrador residents with the cost of their post-secondary education through loans, grants, bursaries and special programs.
Most StudentAid programs are based on need, providing financial assistance when students and their immediate families do not have the resources to meet the costs of full-time education and basic living expenses. However, academic performance requirements affect eligibility as well.
StudentAid administers programs on behalf of the Government of Canada and of Newfoundland and Labrador, including Canada Student Loans, Canada Study Grants, Canada Access Grants and the Canada Millennium Bursary.
